Background
 
This unit’s key responsibilities are to carry out nationwide broadband awareness through a series of marketing campaigns, roadshows, seminars, workshops or mass media, and to identify market requirements for new services by conducting market research. This unit will also facilitate with the development of local-content and gain the support of key ICT players,
 
Objectives
 
·         To provide publicity and promote awareness on Nationwide Broadband initiatives
·         To identify and introduce new services, contents & applications for the utilization of nationwide broadband.
·         To encourage deployment of e-government services and applications on Nationwide broadband
·         To support the industry and to bridge the digital divide for both rural and urban areas.
 
Key Milestone
 
-          Promotional activities and awareness campaigns throughout the FTTH deployment.
-          To collaborate with service providers, educational institutions, government departments and the key ICT industry players for the development of innovative digital contents.
-          To collaborate with the operator and local content developers in the setting up and running of an “FTTH Experience Centre”.
