AITI Car Boot Sale - Hope for Haiyan Victims
In hope of providing humanitarian assistance following the devastation caused by the recent super typhoon Haiyan that hit areas in central Philippines, the Authority for Info-communications Technology Industry of Brunei Darussalam (AITI) yesterday held a one day car boot sale at their premise in Anggerek Desa to raise funds in order to provide aid to the victims.


This event was open to members of the public from 9.00am to 11.30am in the morning and 2.30pm to 4.30pm in the afternoon. Various activities were lined up during the day itself.
All employees of AITI participated where a total of 13 slots were set up. The highlight of the event was the selling of variety of food, books, clothes, toys as well as accessories. Also participating was ShawlByVSnowBrunei, a local online store, selling various designs of hijab.
There were several fun activities assembled during the day which include Kids Colouring, Sharp Shooter, Hole-In-One mini golf game, Jengga and Penalty Kick. The employees of AITI also initiated a charity car wash as a service for the public where the cleaning was done by the employees themselves. Among other activities created were bike rides complete with accessories such as helmets, gloves and jackets, a chance to play FIFA14 using PS3 game console and also nail art. AITI also created a donation fund in terms of monetary and in-kind contribution by the staffs. 100% of the proceeds will go to the charity fund.
