AITI holds korban ceremony 2014
Authority for Info-communications Technology Industry of Brunei Darussalam (AITI) held a korban ceremony which took place at Seri Kerna Hall, AITI office premises in Anggerek Desa.
Present as the guest of honour was Awang Adi Samsul bin Hj Sabli, Deputy Permanent Secretary (IT and e-Government) at the Prime Minister’s Office and his capacity as Authority Member. Also in attendance were Members Authority, Management and staff of AITI.
The event began with a recital of Surah Al-Fatihah and Doa Selamat. The ceremony then proceeded with a religious talk by Dr Haji Adi Zaki Bin Haji Matasim, Counselor from Pusat Da'wah Islamiah.
Two (2) buffalos were slaughtered for the sacrifice which was distributed to four (4) underprivileged families (fakir miskin) from the area of Kg Anggerek Desa  and also total of 9 AITI staffs and their families took part for the korban occasion. The distribution of the sacrificial meat was handed over by the guest of honour.
The ceremony is one of the annual activities of AITI. Apart from performing good deeds and religious obligations, the ceremony is also aimed to foster the relationship among AITI staffs and to encourage participation in religious and social welfare activities.
