AITI hosts workshop to build a tech brand

The Authority for Info-communications Technology Industry of Brunei Darussalam (AITI) today hosted The Art of Branding Workshop at the Seri Kerna Hall, AITI Office in Anggerek Desa.
 
The workshop was well received with more than 80 participants comprising of representatives from AITI Accredited Business (AAB) Status businesses, ICT industry, production houses as well as members of the public.

Present to welcome the participants to the workshop was AITI’s Chief Executive, Yang Mulia Awang Haji Yahkup Haji Menudin. In his opening remarks, he emphasized SMEs to think of global vision before starting building a world class brand. He further stressed that besides continuing to build brands to differentiate ones against another, the business players should be mindful of protecting their trademarks and intellectual property (IP) as these are vital in enhancing a value of assets to an organisation.
 
The workshop was facilitated by Mr. Lawrence Chong, Co-founder and CEO of Consulus Singapore. Consulus is one of the leading brand consultancy of the year in Singapore and has experience working with global clients such as MTU Asia and Sony in more than 18 cities including Bruneian establishments.

Themed as “How to build a tech brand that shapes the world”, the workshop focused on several topics on the various method of building brands, creating a strategic brand roadmap and a step-by-step approach of building a brand. Participants of the workshop also had the opportunity to learn the challenges facing the Asian IT brands as well as participate in the question and answer session.
 
This  Branding Workshop is one of the series of the knowledge sharing workshops organized by AITI as part of its initiative to promote industry awareness on the techniques and strategies to sustain and grow a tech business. AITI hopes that participants would be able to learn the importance of branding to grow their business not only within Brunei but also outside this region.
