Brunei Pavilion at KL converge
Yesterday saw the opening ceremony of the KL Converge! organised by the Ministry of Communications and Multimedia Malaysia with the support of the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC).  KL Converge! showcases a digital lifestyle which is now a key driver in the lives of consumers, economic development and a nation’s growth.
To promote development of our creative and digital media industry, the Authority for Info-communications Technology Industry of Brunei Darussalam (AITI) is hosting the Brunei Darussalam Pavilion which is an opportunity to make connections and build networks in the region. It also allows them to sample the creative technologies and services available regionally.   Showcasing at the Brunei Darussalam Pavilion are Ambuyart Animations, Megabond Sdn Bhd, Regalblue Production, Itsybytes Company and Origin Films.
Ambuyart Animations is an animation studio specialising in cartoon animation services.  Recent high profile projects include an interactive Road Safety e-book for Brunei’s National Road Safety Council, animation for BruHIMS for Ministry of Health, animation for the Brunei and Singapore collaboration “Gabung: Kisah Antara Dua Sungai” and recently short animated greetings for Hari Raya Aidilfitri 2014 for Suci (a popular distilled drinking water bottle brand in Brunei).  Ambuyart Animations received a grant from AITI in 2012 to create an original cartoon series and have completed the trailer for SkuadZ.  Ambuyart Animations won the best animation talent in the ANIMASI-IMMERSE 3d Challenge Awards 2013.
Megabond Sdn Bhd   
Megabond Sdn Bhd is a multimedia & production house registered with Government of Brunei Darussalam and Radio Television Brunei (RTB) as a class “A” production house since 2002. Since then, the company has produced a variety of TV programmes for RTB, TV commercials and corporate videos.  The company has been actively involved with RTB projects in partnership with Radio Television Malaysia (RTB) and Mediacorp (Singapore).
Regalblue Production
Regalblue Production has been registered with Government of Brunei Darussalam and Radio Television Brunei (RTB) as a class “A” production house and actively producing creative and high quality TV programs in various genres since 2002.  They have won RTB awards for “Best Drama TV series” in 2006, 2009 and 2010.  In 2013, they produced their first feature film titled “Ada Apa Dengan Rina” which is the second feature film in Brunei history after “Gema Dari Menara” in 1968 and the first ever film with a completely local cast and filmed in colloquial Brunei Malay.  The film received international acknowledgement by winning the “Special Jury Award” and being nominated for “Best Comedy Film” at the ASEAN International Film Festival & Awards (AIFFA) 2013.
Itsybytes is a game software development company that develops multimedia game applications on any platform from web-based to mobile technology. Their specialty is developing e-learning games suitable for children from age of 6 years old to assist the learning process in an interactive and entertaining way.  Their main focus is Brunei history and folklore. Itsybytes Company also develops original artwork and illustrations for animation of the game content. They are a 2D/3D game development company which strives to be at par with other world class game development companies.

Origin Films 
Origin Films Sdn Bhd is a Brunei based film and production company, incorporated in 2010 with the sole purpose of producing made in Brunei feature films.  One of their milestone projects is international feature film “Yasmine” which has gained a lot of attention globally.  It was selected to screen at the 17th Shanghai International Film Festival and won the award for Best New Asia Cinema at the Neufchatel International Film Festival, Switzerland.
AITI is hosting the Brunei Darussalam Pavilion to provide opportunities to attract partnership and investors in our local industry. This is in line with AITI’s initiatives to develop Brunei’s creative and digital media industry.  To further this mission, AITI today organized a business matching session where the Brunei Pavilion participants got to pitch their products and services to potential business partners and connect with ASEAN counterparts.
