Household ICT Survey 2016 Comes To An End

The Brunei Darussalam Online Household ICT Survey 2016 conducted by the Authority for Info-communications Technology Industry of Brunei Darussalam (AITI) in association with BigBreak Solutions Sdn Bhd (BBS) since 1st February 2016 has concluded on 28th March 2016.

This is the third household ICT survey being conducted by AITI since its inception in 2010. The information from this survey will be used to understand how ICT is changing Brunei's economy and society and will provide data on basic indicators of the ICT situation in households, its trends comparison with previous year's reports and usage. . The survey questionnaires were made available in both online and paper-based mode to maximize the number of respondents in order to have a better representation of ICT development index in Brunei Darussalam. The sample size of this survey has increased to 25% amounting to more than ten thousand respondents compared to the survey conducted in previous years.

With the completion of this survey, AITI is compiling and analyzing all data received, and will publish the information in the form of a household ICT report for consumption of various parties such as general public, policy makers, academia, researchers, tech start-ups, entrepreneurs, ICT industry players and SMEs. This report will be made available within second quarter of 2016.

Three names were drawn for the lucky draw for participating in the survey. The grand prize winner was Mohammad Daniel Faiz Bin Hj Mohammed Sabli. Hadi Haswandy Bin Osmidi won the second prize while Abdul Halim Bin Abdul Rahman was named as the recipient of thethird prize. Prizes presentation for the lucky winners was held at AITI office on 8th April 2016 .
