More ICTAB Recipients Announced
05/01/2012

The Authority for Info-communications Technology Industry of Brunei Darussalam (AITI) has today announced more recipients of its ICT Accredited Business (ICTAB) qualification. Since its first award in August last year, AITI has granted to date a total of thirty four (34) local ICT businesses with the five (5) different classes of ICTAB.

ICTAB is aimed for ICT businesses to be accredited as a pre-requisite before participating in any Government ICT tenders. This is to ensure that the projects are carried out successfully by qualified and competent local vendors. With effect from 1st September 2011, ICTAB has became a mandatory requirement for vendors when participating in Government ICT projects or tenders.

To obtain ICTAB qualification, local ICT businesses must first gain the AITI Accredited Business (AAB) Status, which is a recognition from AITI on ICT businesses that have met a minimum level of technical and commercial competencies. Currently, there are about seventy-nine (79) ICT businesses that have been awarded with AAB Status. Businesses without the AAB Status who wish to be classified under the ICTAB may apply for both AAB Status and ICTAB simultaneously.

Further, the ICTAB applicants should fulfill the following requirements for them to be qualified in either one (1) of the five (5) Classes as below:
