MTIC Celebrates Maulidur Rasul

The Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications (MTIC) as well as the Departments and Authorities under it held a ceremony today to celebrate Maulud Nabi Muhammad Shallallahu ‘Alaihi Wasallam 1446H/2024M. The event was organised by the Authority for Info-communications Technology Industry of Brunei Darussalam (AITI) at Amar Pahlawan Hall, MTIC.

The ceremony was blessed with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and Doa Selamat by Yang Mulia Awang Saufi bin Haji Suhaini, Officer of Mosque Affairs Department for Brunei-Muara District.

The ceremony proceeded with a special religious talk titled “Memelihara Akal Berpandukan Sunnah Rasulullah Sallallahu ‘Alaihi Wasallama” delivered by Yang Mulia Dr. Haji Mohd Sharol Azmi bin Haji Abdul Muluk, Assistant Ra’es of Seri Begawan Religious Teachers University College (KUPUSB) and moderated by Yang Mulia Awang Muhammad Syamim Farhan bin Haji Sufri, Religious Development Senior Assistant of Pusat Da’wah Islamiah.

The ceremony continued with a lively performance of Dikir Marhaban by the MTIC Dikir Group before concluding with a presentation of token of appreciation by Yang Berhormat Minister of Transport and Infocommunications to the invited speaker and moderator.

Present at the ceremony was Yang Berhormat Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Shamhary bin Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Mustapha, Minister of Transport and Infocommunications. Also in attendance were Yang Mulia Dayang Mazriyani binti Haji Abdul Ghani, Acting Deputy Permanent Secretary (Infocommunications); Yang Mulia Awang Ridzuan bin Haji Ahmad, Acting Deputy Permanent Secretary (Transport); directors, senior officers and officers from MTIC as well as the Departments and Authorities under it.

Today’s ceremony is part of the annual religious events organised by the Ministry, its department and authorities to further enliven the celebration of Islamic events.

Kementerian Pengangkutan dan Infokomunikasi (MTIC) dan Jabatan-Jabatan serta Agensi-Agensi Pihak Berkuasa di bawahnya telah mengadakan Majlis Sambutan Maulud Nabi Muhammad Shallallahu ‘Alaihi Wasallam Bagi Tahun 1446H/2024M pada hari ini. Majlis berkenaan dikelolakan oleh Pihak Berkuasa Industri Teknologi Info-komunikasi Negara Brunei Darussalam (AITI) di Dewan Amar Pahlawan, MTIC.

Majlis diberkati dengan bacaan Surah Al-Fatihah dan Doa Selamat oleh Yang Mulia Awang Saufi bin Haji Suhaini, Pegawai Hal-Ehwal Masjid, Jabatan Hal-Ehwal Masjid Daerah Brunei dan Muara.

Majlis seterusnya diserikan dengan Ceramah Khas bertajuk “Memelihara Akal Berpandukan Sunnah Rasulullah Sallallahu ‘Alaihi Wasallama” yang disampaikan oleh Yang Mulia Dr. Haji Mohd Sharol Azmi bin Haji Abdul Muluk, Penolong Ra’es, Kolej Universiti Perguruan Ugama Seri Begawan bersama Yang Mulia Awang Muhammad Syamim Farhan bin Haji Sufri, Pembantu Kanan Perkembangan Ugama, Pusat Da’wah Islamiah selaku moderator.

Majlis kemudian dimeriahkan dengan persembahan Dikir Marhaban  daripada Kumpulan Dikir MTIC sebelum diakhiri dengan penyampaian cenderahati oleh Yang Berhormat Menteri Pengangkutan dan Infokomunikasi kepada penceramah undangan dan moderator.

Majlis berkenaan dihadiri oleh Yang Berhormat Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Shamhary bin Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Mustapha, Menteri Pengangkutan dan Infokomunikasi. Turut hadir ialah Yang Mulia Dayang Mazriyani binti Haji Abdul Ghani, Pemangku Timbalan Setiausaha Tetap (Infokomunikasi); Yang Mulia Awang Ridzuan bin Haji Ahmad, Pemangku Timbalan Setiausaha Tetap (Pengangkutan); Ketua-Ketua Jabatan serta Pegawai-Pegawai Kanan, Pegawai-Pegawai dan Kakitangan Kementerian Pengangkutan dan Infokomunikasi, Jabatan-Jabatan serta Agensi-Agensi Pihak Berkuasa di bawahnya.

Majlis hari ini adalah antara aktiviti tahunan yang dianjurkan oleh pihak Kementerian dan Jabatan-Jabatan serta Agensi-Agensi Pihak Berkuasa di bawahnya untuk memeriahkan lagi sambutan acara-acara keagamaan.
