On May 2024, The Authority for Info-communications Technology Industry (AITI) has established an AI Governance and Ethics Working Group, consisting of 25 members from the government, industry and academia. The working group is tasked with developing the Guide on AI Governance and Ethics for Brunei Darussalam.
On 9 July 2024 AITI has released a Public Consultation Paper (PCP) to seek views from organisations and the general public on the Draft Guide on AI Governance and Ethics for Brunei Darussalam. The Draft Guide contains general guiding principles for organisations that design, develop, develop and/or use AI technologies in Brunei Darussalam.
At the close of the Public Consultation, AITI received feedback from 17 esteemed representatives from industry, academia, technology communities and individuals.
