Introduction
AITI’s Tech Experience Learning Overseas in Real-Working Environment (TechXPLORE) Digital Apprenticeship Programme is a seven-month international programme designed to immerse participants in an advanced ICT and digital working environment abroad.
Work alongside industry professionals in software development, system administration, digital marketing and data analytics to build a strong professional network and open doors to new career opportunities.
Objectives
Exposure
Expose young ICT graduates to international apprenticeships and overseas work opportunities.
Gain insights
Provide opportunities for young graduates to be equipped with in-market knowledge to navigate challenges in overseas markets through hands-on experience with real cases and digital solutions.
Sharpen skills
Sharpen ICT graduates’ skills to be industry-ready for local and international marketability and employability.
Foster professionalism
Develop the participants’ professionalism and positive work attitude such as self-confidence, maturity and self-reliance through interaction with people in a real working environment and international work culture.
- Age not more than thirty-five (35) years old on the day of registration;
- Citizen or Permanent Resident of Brunei Darussalam;
- Graduated with a minimum Bachelor’s Degree in ICT-related courses from any government/private Institution of Higher Learning in Brunei Darussalam;
- Minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0 or equivalent;
- Experience and knowledgeable in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Human–Computer Interaction, Digital Product Design, Business Information Systems, or other relevant technology or digital-related fields.
- Preferred soft skills – analytical thinking, strong problem-solving skills, curiosity and a willingness to learn, attention to detail, Effective teamwork and collaboration, a user-centred mindset, initiative and proactive communication and adaptability to work in a multicultural environment
- Excellent English language proficiency – written and spoken and basic Bahasa Indonesia; and
- Currently unemployed or not in any apprenticeship/internship programme.
- Genuinely interested in the field and demonstrating a passion for learning and growth in the ICT field;
- Portfolio/experience in relevant projects, internships, or personal projects is an added advantage;
- Experience and knowledge in Programming Language including HTML5, PHP, JavaScript/Node.js, Python, SQL, API integration, UI/UX design, or equivalent is an added advantage;
- Excellent attitude and discipline;
- Submission of letters of recommendation or references from lecturers/professors, previous employers, or mentors;
- Physically and mentally fit (official Medical Certificate to be provided upon successful acceptance to the programme); and
- Able to commit and complete one (1) month of apprenticeship at Mindtrex Brunei and six (6) months of apprenticeship at the Host.
