Manager, Personal Data Protection

Overall Responsibilities

Oversee the development of policies, regulations, and initiatives that promote the responsible use of data and ethical Artificial Intelligence (AI) to support the Digital Economy. The role ensures effective data protection, AI governance, and industry compliance while fostering trust, innovation, and value creation through stakeholder engagement, awareness, and capacity-building programmes.

Requirements and Job Specifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB Hons), Public Policy, Information Security, Computer Science or any related field as deemed fit by AITI.
• Experience in legal and compliance, public policy, information security, computer security systems or a related field is an advantage.
• Professional certification(s) related to personal data protection and/or knowledge about the basic principles of personal data protection and/or ISO27001 knowledge are added advantages.
• Other industry certifications (e.g., IAPP-CIPP, Information Security) will be an added advantage.
• Strong interpersonal, time management and project management skills.
• Excellent research and analytical skills.
• Good stakeholder engagement skills and proven ability to interact and manage relationships effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
