  • Code of Practice on Principles of Number Portability for the Telecommunications Services in Brunei Darussalam

    (Effective date: 19 August 2021)

    The Number Portability Code is intended to set standards to ensure efficient, transparent, and fair porting processes, promoting fair practices and healthy competition for the long-term benefit of the industry and consumers.

  • Code of Practice on the Development, Operation, Inspection and Maintenance of the Wireless Communications Structures (WCS)

    (Effective date: 5 November 2021)

    The WCS Code sets duties for licensees on WCS deployment and operation, adoption of technical standards, safeguarding public health and safety, measures ensuring minimum impact to environment, and promotes infrastructure sharing to minimize WCS sites in Brunei.

  • Code of Practice for the Telecommunications Sector (Telecommunications Code)

    (Effective date: 20 February 2023)

    The Telecommunications Code is intended to promote the long-term interests of end-users of telecommunications services in Brunei Darussalam by fostering competition, ensuring any-to-any connectivity, and encouraging efficient use and investment in telecom infrastructure. It also establishes regulatory principles that guide the Authority in implementing various codes of practice, standards, and guidelines for the telecommunications sector.

  • Code of Practice for Competition in the Telecommunications Sector (Competition Law Code)

    (Effective date: 20 February 2023)

    The Competition Law Code is intended to promote the long-term interests of End Users of Telecommunications Services in Brunei Darussalam by promoting effective and sustainable competition in telecommunications sector. 

  • Code of Practice for the Registration of Mobile Prepaid Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) Cards (Mobile Prepaid SIM Cards Registration Code)

    (Effective date: 4 September 2024)

    The Mobile Prepaid SIM Cards Registration Code is intended to ensure accurate subscriber records and safeguarding subscribers by preventing SIM cards from being fraudulently registered and used under their names.

  • Code of Practice for General Duties in the Telecommunications Sector (General Duties Code) - Second Issue

    (Effective date: 1 November 2025)

    The General Duties Code is intended to ensure the protection of End Users and Customers in their engagement with Market Players in Brunei Darussalam.

  • The Quality of Service Code of Practice and Standards of Performance Relating to Quality of Services for Telecommunications Sector in Brunei Darussalam (QoS Code) - Second Issue

    (Effective 1 November 2025)

    The QoS Code is intended to ensure that End Users and Customers are given satisfactory level of services that meet minimum and acceptable standards. Effective 1 November 2025, Sections 2.1.1 to 2.1.21 under the code are revoked and absorbed by the General Duties Code (Second Issue). All other provisions of this Code shall continue to remain valid and enforceable.
